Epilepsia Open® is ILAE's new Open Access online journal with a mission to make original research for all aspects of high-quality epilepsy research widely available through open access publication, including preliminary, confirmatory, failure-to-confirm studies, and negative results.

Epileptic Disorders provides a forum for experts and medical students who wish to improve their understanding of epilepsy and related  disorders to share practical experiences surrounding diagnosis and care, natural history, and management of seizures. Its mission is to create educational links between epileptologists and other health professionals in clinical practice and scientists or physicians in research-based institutions.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Epileptic Disorders has increased the number of issues from four to six per year to ensure regular diffusion of recently published material (high quality Reviews and Seminars in Epileptology papers; Original Research articles or case reports of educational value; and MultiMedia Teaching Material), to serve the global medical community that cares for those affected by epilepsy.
